Hook & Newnham Basics left-armer Kevin Poulter celebrated being named top Hampshire Over-50s bowler - a year after a successful and heroic battle against cancer. He took 13 wickets in the ECB 50-plus County Championship, including a best 5-24 return against Somerset, and also captured 25 Southern Premier League Division 1 victims for Hook, who narrowly missed out on promotion on the final day of the season. Prior to the start of the 2016 season, Poulter was selected (alongside Basingstoke's Keith Harsham and New Milton left-armer Nick Gargaro) to play for England South in an International vets tournament in Sri Lanka.
