Hampshire’s Aneurin Donald struck an unbeaten 159 not out from 47 deliveries for Rondebosch in the Western Province Cricket Association premier league fixture against Kraaifontein at the Terry Eksteen Oval.
His innings featured 12 fours and 16 sixes – and ensured Rondebosch Cricket Club reached a 244-run target inside 15 overs. Kraaifontein deployed five bowlers – and each conceded an economy rate of at least 14.9, with the highest 23.5.
Joe Weatherley hit his first fifty of the South Australia Grade season with 52 not out which helped Woodville post 333-5 either side of Adelaide being bowled out twice, while Toby Albert experienced a gruelling day in the Perth field as WA's Sam Whiteman cracked 250 not out as Fremantle hit the Joondalup bowlers for a massive 463-4.
Talking Adelaide cricket and 18-year old Academy left-armer Finn Catherwood has taken seven wickets in his last two Grade matches and been elevated to the Second Grade. He is wintering at the Darren Lehmann Academy.
St Cross Symondians prospect George O'Connor is now playing First Grade but had his stumps flattened first ball by South Wilts' left-armer Josh Croom when Southern Districts played Glenelg. He bounced back with his second dig 29, but Glenelg romped to an outright victory.
