Were you among the thousands of punters who entered the Hampshire Cricket Board’s challenging Grounds Quiz, skillfully teased and crafted by Development Officer Simon Jones ?

Entries closed at tea-time on Bank Holiday Monday. Hours later after sifting through mountains of entries, the judges announced the grounds photographed, as follows –

1 Crown Taverners; 2 Medstead; 3 Petersfield; 4 Twyford; 5 Easton & Martyr Worthy; 6 Swan Green; 7 Longparish; 8 Portsmouth [St Helen’s Southsea]; 9 Broadhalfpenny Down; 10 Green Jackets, St Cross Symondians; 11 Bolton’s Bench, Lyndhurst; 12 Hoglands Park; 13 Fareham & Crofton; 14 May’s Bounty, Basingstoke; 15 Alton second pitch; 16 IBM Hursley; 17 Newclose IOW; 18 Brockenhurst; 19 Portchester Castle; 20 Damerham; 21 Headley; 22 Sparsholt; 23 Hursley Park; 24 New Place, Shedfield/Shirrell Heath (used by Fair Oak); 25 Fawley; 26 Ryde; 27 Bramshaw; 28 Portsmouth Rugby Camp; 29 Ropley; 30 New Milton; 31 Oakley; 32 Eversley; 33 Lord’s.

The competition winner (despite four faults), is believed to have a PO16 postal address, but has requested no publicity.
