Hampshire II shared the spoils with their Somerset counterparts, each winning one of the two ECB County Second XI T20 matches at the Ageas Bowl.
Hampshire’s opening 12-run win was more comfortable than the result suggests, with Somerset sinking to 87-8 as they chased their hosts 171-4 before an unbroken ninth wicket stand of 72 lifted their eventual response to 159-8. Fifth-wicket pair Lewis McManus and Ryan Stevenson shared an unbroken stand of 69.
