Hampshire Seniors will face Cricket Wales in the opening national knockout round of the ECB 50-plus County Championships at Bashley (Rydal) on Sunday, 1300 hours.
They completed their south and west group matches with a tight two-wicket win over Dorset, Jim Ryall (52), Alex Allum (44) and Martin Miller (31) underpinning the hosts 197-9 (Brendan Fourie 3-23).
Fawley's Andy Parratt (67) led Hampshire with support from Keith Harsham (25), Stu Shapland (23) and Fourie (20), but it needed Jamie Donaldson to hit four boundaries off 11 deliveries to get the visitors home with five balls to spare.
The Sixties 'enjoyed' a leather chase in the field at Ramsdell, where Surrey piled up 308-2 after being put into bat. Dave Simpson (68) and Andy Steggall (38) responded as Hampshire finished with 228-8.
The 60s now play in the 'vase' and will enjoy a short trip to Norfolk in round one,
