Hampshire’s Calvin Dickinson can’t wait to play in next Saturday’s NatWest T20 Blast finals Day at Edgbaston.
But he’s anxious to spend vital time in the middle when he returns to play for Lymington against Burridge at the Sports Ground, 12.30.
He expects to swap his pinch-hitting wicket-keeping role for a top-order batting slot and keep Lymington on track for a potential title showdown in eight days time.
“It’s important I focus on getting my head down and scoring runs tomorrow : this is an ideal opportunity to get stuck in,” he said.
But the anticipated return of Zimbabwean Malcolm Lake has not materialised and he is not listed to play against Burridge.
Lymington: Beetham, Rogers, Dickinson, Scott, Crabb, Hand, Lock, Ellis, Ambrose, Metcalfe, Layman.
New Milton host St Cross Symondians at Fernhill, but neither side has announced its line-up.
