Hampshire’s junior cricketers have topped their group in the ECB Under-14 County Championship, winning all six completed matches.
Their success ensures they will play in the ECB Under-15 A Division in 2017.
Fair Oak’s Fletcha Middleton, pictured, who enjoyed a successful ESCA Bunbury Festival, was Hampshire’s leading run maker, with Old Netley & Highfield prospect Tom South just behind.
Jack Pearce’s off-breaks produced 10 wickets, with Josh Balcombe and Ayush Bose taking nine each.
Results –
Hampshire 116-5 (Saunders 34*, Metzer 29) beat Wiltshire 113 (Trodd 3-30) by five wickets.
Hampshire 219-6 (Watson 80, South 50) beat Devon 164 (Reynolds 4-20, Trodd 3-28)
Hampshire 206 (Middleton 50, South 42) beat Gloucestershire 191 by 15 runs.
Hampshire 169 (Trodd 35, Watson 29) beat Oxfordshire 162-9 (Balcombe 3-24) by seven runs.
Hampshire 247-5 (Middleton 87*, Saunders 56) beat Dorset 101 (Turner 27, Pearce 4-19, Balcombe 4-29) by 146 runs.
Hampshire 261-9 (South 76, Sebborn 62) beat Somerset 225 (Bose 4-26) by 36 runs.
