Hampshire Under-17s face Surrey YCs in the three-day ECB County Championship semi-finals at Totton & Eling’s Southern Ground, starting on Tuesday 11am.
Beaten in last month’s ECB 50-over Cup final, Hampshire emerged undefeated in the West group, winning three of their four matches, with Tom Prest scoring 514 runs, in addition to taking 19 wickets. Tom South [pictured by Roy Honerybone] has made 352 runs (plus 11 catches) and Toby Albert 316. Mo Abbas and James Trodd have each taken 22 wickets and Harry Petrie 14.
Surrey YCs are similarly unbeaten, with Ashtead’s Ben Geddes the stand out batsmen, with three centuries to his name this season.
A serious knee injury has ruled Havant’s Freddie Gadd out of the Hampshire squad, but Toby Albert is fit to return.
