Hampshire’s young cricketers have made a disappointing exit from the ECB Under-17 County Cup after losing three of their four south-west regional group matches.
They began well enough with a Jack Campbell inspired 109-run win over Worcestershire, but subsequently lost to Somerset, Devon and Gloucestershire.
Fletcha Middleton, Patrick Holly, Miles Kantolinna, and Billy Mead all made fifties, but lack of run scoring often brought Hampshire’s downfall.
