Emerging Canford School talent Eddie Jack took ten wickets to help the South & West win this week's ECB David English Under-15 Bunbury tournament at Loughborough University.
He was joined at the regional championships by Bashley (Rydal) spin pair Ethan Baker and Louis Prichard, and Hambledon seamer Oli Cordery. Academy all-rounder Dom Kelly was selected but had to withdraw after breaking a bone in his hand.
Jack enjoyed a 4-58 haul against the North and two wickets against the London & South East and the Midlands twice as the South & West won four of their six mix of 50-over and T20 matches. They beat the Midlands by seven wickets in today's final.
Prichard, teenage son of former Essex County Championship winning captain Paul Prichard, took six wickets, including a 3-11 return against the North, while Bashley team-mate Baker spun his way to four tournament scalps. Cordery found his opportunities limited, but bowled tidily and is definitely a prospect for the future.
