Harry Came followed up a century with a five-wicket return as St Cross Symondians beat Burridge by 143 runs to clinch the runners-up spot behind champions Bashley (Rydal) and win the ECB Southern Premier League’s “white ball” 50-over pennant.
The Hampshire prospect hit 117 as St Cross piled up 334-4 before taking 5-43 as Burridge were dismissed for 191.
Hitting a six and 11 boundaries, Came shared a century opening stand with Billy Mead (51) before adding 98 with county team-mate Felix Organ (44).
He eventually departed at 233-3, leaving centre stage to Max Curtis (54 not out) and Jimmy Adams (42) to plunder further runs.
It was the second time in consecutive seasons Came had produced such a stunning one-man show. Last June, he flayed the Alton attack for 155 before taking 7-52 with his off-spin.
Richard Lock (49) and Hilio de Abreu (35) progressed the Burridge reply to 103-2 when Came nipped out both batsmen and then bowled Derek Kenway to leave the visitors 134-5. Came went on to take 5-43 as Burridge fell away to 191 all out (Rick Ankers 25).
