Basingstoke & North Hants all-rounder Keith Harsham has been in sparkling form for Hampshire Seniors this week – but with mixed results for his team-mates.
His unbeaten 61 laid the foundations for a comfortable seven-wicket win for the 60s against Gloucestershire at Frocester. But his 50 against Devon in the ECB 50-plus County Championships at Bashley proved in vain.
Hampshire 60s successfully chased down Gloucestershire’s 168-9, with openers Mike Swain (30) and Iain Britton (33) laying the platform for Harsham and Terry Morton (32) to complete the formalities.
But Harsham and Bashley’s Neil Taylor apart, Hampshire 50s batting fell apart and they were 131-9 before Taylor and last man Paul Garlick added 55 for the tenth wicket. Devon scraped past Hampshire’s 186 nine down with seven balls to spare.
