South African youngster Jason Knibbs scored his second Southern Premier League century of the season as Hartley Wintney cruised to a 142-run victory over visiting South Wilts II.
His 100, which took his run tally for the season past the 500 mark, underpinned a formidable 265-5 by Hartley Wintney.
The left-hander, who announced his Hartley arrival with 117 on the opening day of the season against St Cross Symondians II, watched from the non-striker’s end as Will Kerr and Harry Broderick departed in quick succession.
But with Hartley Wintney rocking at 4-2 after early blows struck by James Wade and Matt Burton, Knibbs proceeded to share a free-flowing 144-run partnership with Scott Baldwin, who smashed 83.
South Wilts, 12 points ahead of Basingstoke & North Hants II in the relegation zone, lost Sam Arnold, trapped leg before first ball by Anthony Parson, who proceeded to rip through the visitors’ top order.
The former Finchampstead and Valley End seamer, who celebrated a 5-38 haul, removed Joe Cranch (19) and Steve Riddle in successive deliveries before the defiant Jack Stearman (20) and Rob Pittman perished to make it 55-5.
Luke Hansford (40) gave some beef to South Wilts’ middle-order, but Baldwin’s spell of 3-6 ended their token resistance at 123 all out.

Langley Manor are 49 points adrift and all but mathematically down after being bowled out for 101 and beaten by 26 runs by Paultons at Knellers Lane.
Simon Peters could hardly believe it, having reduced Paultons to 15-3 and later 63-5, four of his eventual 6-37 return coming with the new ball. Scott Dawes (41) kept Paultons ticking over before Peters returned to the attack. Nick Doubell produced a tidy spell of 2-16 off his ten overs.
But those bowling figures proved all in vain as the Manor plunged to 58-7 (Dawes 3-35) and 101 all out.
Waterlooville lie fourth from bottom but aren’t out of the mire after a five-wicket defeat by Liphook & Ripsley. They made 161 (Tommy Greene 40), but were unable to prevent Harry Munt (30), Rob Nicklin (29) and Suman Ganguly (24) from easing Liphook to a comfortable win with nine overs to spare.
