South African Jason Knibbs has announced that he will not be returning to play Southern Premier League Division 2 cricket for Hartley Wintney this coming season.
The Johannesburg based left-hander has begun a three-year university degree course in Cape Town, leaving the North Hampshire club with a significant hole to fill at the top of the batting order.
Knibbs, pictured in action by Dave Vokes, hit 550 SPL2 runs last season, including centuries against promoted St Cross Symondians II and South Wilts II, alongside fifth-plus scores against champions Totton & Eling, Liphook & Ripsley and Paultons. He also took 17 league wickets.
