There was a crumb of comfort for Havant with the news that Belhus had succeeded Sarisbury Athletic as ECB Indoor sixes champions. The Essex side nicked a one-wicket win off the last ball of their regional semi-final match against the Hampshire champions at Canterbury, but found the going far easier at Lord's. They totally overwhelmed Welsh winners Haverfordwest in the semi-final before beating Whiteley Hall, from Yorkshire, in the final.
