South Wilts’ lower-order fought a brave rearguard action but were unable to prevent Havant from securing a seven-wicket win from their ECB Royal London national club championship third round tie.
A three-wicket blast from Josh McCoy (4-29) and two more for Chris Stone plunged South Wilts’ neck deep in trouble at 74-7.
Sam Pittman (25) and Ryan Murray (22) rallied as South Wilts reached a respectable 141, but despite being 21-2, Havant polished off the target with Ben Walker (45) and Stu Ransley (45) unbeaten.
With Bournemouth conceding on account of poor availability, Havant are away to Surrey Championship side Normandy in the group final on Sunday June 25.
