HAVANT’S bid to emulate Sarisbury Athletic’s ECB indoor cricket sixes championship triumph of last season begins against Theale & Tilehurst, the Berkshire champions, at the Fareham Leisure Centre on Sunday, 2.30pm.
They face the Thames Valley League club in the first round of the national indoor sixes and, if successful, will qualify for the south regional finals at Canterbury in two week’s time.
Havant’s team is: Peter Hopson (Captain), Jez Bulled, Harry Hovey, Richard Hindley, Stuart Ransley, Pete Hayward.
Island champions Newport play Bournemouth at Lake.
