Havant have been hit with points penalties following the abandonment of their ECB Southern Premier Division match against Bashley (Rydal) on July 1.
The round 9 'time pennant' match was called off 17 balls into first innings due to an unsafe Havant Park pitch.
Havant openers Peter Hopson and Fletcha Middleton experienced an uncomfortable time at the town end crease, the umpires calling a halt to proceedings after the Hampshire batsman was struck a nasty blow blow on the gloves by Bashley's Dan Goodey, which reared up off a length.
The Premier League management committee has deemed the round match as one played by Havant - it is effectively registered as a loss in their playing record - with the eight-times champions deducted ten points, thus reducing their heathy 16.63 average.
It is a simply a 'no result' for eighth place Bashley (Rydal), who retain their modest 10.57 points per match average.
In a statement, the SPL Management Committee said: "It recognised the unusual circumstances (of July 1), but abandoning a game for dangerous pitch conditions is a serious situation and has only happened we believe three times in the league's 24-year history.
"Clubs are expected to and must be held accountable for providing suitable pitches for league games
"The Management Committee wishes to thank both umpires and captains for the professional and pragmatic dealing of the event and look forward to now drawing a line under it."
Havant face an important weekend, hosting champions St Cross Symondians in the final round of 'time pennant' matches at the Park on Saturday (1100) and unpredictable Burridge in the T20 Cup quarter-final on Sunday, 1500.
