Havant’s Harry Gadd hit a maiden 120 before Hampshire’s attack was torn to pieces by Worcestershire’s batsmen in the latest ECB Under-17 County Championship match at May’s Bounty, Basingstoke.
Gadd hit 21 boundaries in his knock as Hampshire totalled 269 (Cole Campbell 31) before chasing leather for the remainder of the game.
Led by an unbeaten Callum Lea (200 not out) double-century and 102 from Kazan Ahad (102), Worcestershire piled up a thumping 421-3 in reply.
Hampshire, whose final group match against Gloucestershire begins at Bishopston on Monday, were 46-1 when heavy rain washed out the third day’s play.
