South Wilts took just 12 overs to pass Sarisbury Athletic’s meagre 64 and tee up an ECB Royal London national club championship zone semi-final trip to Havant next month.
Will Wade (37) and Eddie Abel (28) eased South Wilts to an easy ten-wicket win at Bemerton.
Luke Evans (4-18) reduced Sarisbury to 44-5, with only Matt Journeaux and Tom Mills reaching double figures. Spin duo Dan Cox and Rob Pittman cleaned up the tail.
Basingstoke & North Hants fought tooth and nail defending 169 before conceding a four-wicket defeat on a typical Havant turner.
Hampshire U17 prospect George Metzger (60), pictured, caught the eye at the top of the order, sharing half-century partnerships with Dan Belcher (27) and Will Phillips (25).
But Metzger’s dismissal triggered a massive collapse as Basingstoke lost their last seven wickets for 28 runs and were all out for 169.
Left-arm spin duo Chris Morgan (4-16) and Steve Matthews (3-36) did the damage, Matthews finishing the innings with a hat-trick, all catches.
But Basingstoke refused to lie down and made Havant fight for a victory, which owed much to Andy Gorvin’s 62.
Bournemouth play Burridge at Chapel Gate on Sunday (1pm) for the right to visit Normandy, 88-run winners over Guildford in round three.
* Former Lord’s winners Horsham suffered an even worse collapse than Basingstoke, losing nine wickets for 16 runs against Reigate Priory, who edged a one-run victory.
