Cameron Robertson survived a potentially freak hit-wicket dismissal to score an unbeaten half-century and guide Sway & Lymington into the Vitality Hampshire Under-19 t20 final with a comfortable nine-wicket win over Fair Oak.
He hit 53 not out as the combined New Forest side easily chased down Oaks’ 96-7 to set up a cup final meeting with Alton. But midway through his innings, Robertson appeared to tread on his stumps and dislodge the bails – but none of the Fair Oak fielders appealed, so he survived !
Earlier, Fair Oak lost wickets all the way down the line with Harry Reed (21) and Ben Smith (18) top scoring in the 15-overs per side contest. Sway had reached 91 before Ralf Fetherstonhaugh yorked Bailey for Oak’s only wicket.
