Sam Lockwood (left) and Harry Robson hit centuries as Hook & Newnham Basics went on a 409-run spree before beating Shinfield, from the Berkshire, Chilterns & Mid-Bucks League, by 349 runs in a total ECB Royal London Cup national club championship preliminary round mismatch at the KGV.
Lockwood helped himself to 169 (four sixes and 22 fours)- one short of his personal best for Sidcup in a Kent League Division 3 match in 2018 – and the left-handed Robson an unbeaten 112.
The pair added 253 for the second wicket before Josh Buckingham, (29) and Harry Warner (32) sent the KGV electronic scoreboard into over-heat at 409-4.
Having fetched the ball from the boundary 50 times – six maximums and 44 fours – Shinfield managed 60-9 in reply, Jack Murrell taking 3-16.

Havant's tie with Littlehampton, Clymping & Patching was rain trimmed to 25 overs per side - which was just as well for the visiting West Sussex club !
In that time, Havant rattled up 265-2, with Stu Ransley (75) and Pete Hopson (52) sharing a 142-run start before Harry Gadd (50*) and Chris Stone (67*) tucked in. Littlehampton made 109-2 in reply.
Portsmouth and Waterlooville were knocked out at the preliminary round stage, a disappointingly weak PCC being bowled out for 131 at Normandy and beaten by seven wickets by the Surrey Championship club.
With the start of the Southern Premier League season only a week away, Portsmouth conjured up at most two potential 1st XI players, HCB executive Simon Jones (26) top scoring. Chris Jones took 3-29 for Normandy before hitting an unbeaten 51.
Waterlooville's attack was put to the sword by Datchet opening pair Joe Bartlett (129*) and Longparish raised Billy Mead (117), who shared a 210-run start. The Berkshire club went on to score 302-3 and later bowl the Ville out for 180, Kiwi Josh McGreggor making 50 and Archie Reynolds 35. Sulaiman Akhtar took 6-40.
The tie between Bashley (Rydal) and Ferndown Wayfarers was washed out but rescheduled for Sunday May 8.
