Led by half-centuries by Havant's Harry Hovey (69) and Harry Came (56), Hampshire doubled their score during the morning session of the second day of the ECB Under-17 County Championship final at Arundel Castle. In a distinct contrast to the heavy drizzle which led to yesterday's play being abandoned soon after lunch, the two Harrys eased Hampshire towards an eventual 279-9 off the rain truncated 71 overs. Hovey continued his fine work by taking a fine catch low down off Alton's Dan Scott, but Warwickshire advanced menacingly to 111-1 after 28 overs with the tea interval approaching.
