Joe Collings-Wells and Richard Lock shared a double-century second-wicket partnership as Burridge rattled up a club record ECB Southern Premier League score of 343-4 against Alton at the Jubilee Ground.
The pair added 246 with Collings-Wells cracking a league best 127, including a six and 11 fours and which took his season’s run tally soaring beyond the 700 mark.
Lock’s 113 (one six and 12 fours) was his third century of the summer and set the platform for Azim Chowdhury to smash an 18-ball half-century just before tea.
The former Totton & Eling big hitter launched six maximums as he battered the tired Alton bowlers for 53 off 18 balls.
At least Julian Ballinger had something to smile about during the tea interval – his unusually expensive 2-81 return ensured he finished the leading Premier League bowler with 46 wickets.
It was all purely academic after that as Alton played out time at 188-5 – Dan Harris (48) and Scott Myers (44) – in a tedious evening session.
* Burridge’s scheduled match against the Lashings World XI this Friday has been cancelled and rearranged for June 2019.
