Fawley's Andy Parratt (left) hit an unbeaten 80 as Hampshire Seniors swept to an eight-wicket win over south-west group leaders Devon in the ECB 50-plus County Championship at Braunton.
He fired ten boundaries and dominated a 118-run opening partnership with Basingstoke's Andrew Giles (29) to set up an important win for Hampshire over the previously undefeated west country side.
Earlier, Nic Gargaro (3-31), Pete Hayward (3-21) and Jamie Donaldson (2-21) took the lion's share of the wickets as Devon were dismissed for 156.
Hampshire's victory trims Devon's lead at the top of the group table to two points. Devon have played one match more.
The Hampshire heroes next match is against Wiltshire at Sparsholt next Wednesday (July 21) at 1pm.
