Winchester teenager Dom Kelly rocked Australia with a three-wicket new-ball blast before England were beaten in an ODI Under-19 thriller at Brisbane's Allan Border Field.
His three top order scalps had the Aussies rocking at 3-32 and later 65-6 as they chased down a modest England total of 154. But the hosts recovered and just scrambled over the line by one wicket in a nerve jangling finish. Kelly finished with 3-21 off eight overs.
Earlier, both Kelly (17) and Hampshire Academy team-mate Joseph Eckland (19) gave useful middle-order support to Aston Rowatt spin all-rounder Jamie Coles (51).
