The covers are rolled on at St Helen's, Southsea as rain sweeps across the ground.
The second round of the Southern Premier League Cup was washed out, with half the scheduled fixtures called off without a ball being bowled and the other seven abandoned.
There was no play in the Premier/Division 1 games at Bournemouth, Havant and New Milton, while the regional second tier matches at Bashley (Rydal), Fawley, Gosport Borough, and South Wilts also suffered the same fate.
In the matches that did get underway, Hampshire prospect Harry Came picked up a bat for the first time this summer and was 33 not out when rain washed out the key West section game between St Cross Symondians and Bashley (Rydal).
Tom Prest (33) and Harry Broderick (23) shared a 58-run start for the Hampshire Academy against Portsmouth at St Helen’s, before left-arm spinner Andy Marston came on to remove both openers in quick succession.
Hambledon, opening match winners over Gosport Borough, were going nicely at 176-3 at Hartley Wintney when play was abandoned in the 30th over.
Openers George Marshall (44) and Spencer le Clerq (35) put on 94. With ten of the 40 overs left, Henry Glanfield was 35 not out and threatening another big score.
The launch of the All-Wight League was similarly affected, though at 17-3 Shanklin were grateful when the rains came at Westhill against arch rivals Ventnor.
