Liam Dawson brushed off the cobwebs from of over a month without any cricket - he was a member of England's ICC World Cup winning squad at Lord's - by hitting a quick fire 60 as a Hampshire XI defeated plucky Dorset by 41 runs in a T20 friendly at Bashley (Rydal).
He hit a six and 11 fours, top scoring in Hampshire's 173-7, in which Brad Taylor struck 39 and Tom Scriven 24. Brad Currie and Tom Robinson each took two wickets.
Felix Organ got Dorset away to a blistering start before holing out to an excellent catch in the deep (and out of the sun and the Bashley cables) by Gareth Schreuder, but while Alex Eckland (42) and Ed Ellis (21) were together at 107-3 Dorset were in with a chance.  They reached 132-9 by stumps.
