Liphook & Ripsley 2021 Division 2 champions
Four members of Liphook & Ripsley’s championship winning side have been named in the Southern Premier League Division 2 ‘team of the year’.
They are opener Ryan Covey, all-rounder Suman Ganguly, Rowledge recruit Joe Randall and skipper Sean Burton, who spearheaded the title drive.
Ventnor, who are promoted alongside Liphook, had an ‘automatic’ selection in West Indian Anthony Alleyne, while Ben Woodhouse had a fine season with the gloves, alongside creating a mini-population explosion on Vectis isle.
Arguably SPL 2’s MVP was Fair Oak all-rounder Charlie Gwynn, with 407 runs and 33 wickets.
