Influential Calmore Sports pair Mark Lavelle and Ben Johns, along with Bramshaw run gun Tom Arnold, have been 'selected' in a National Village Cup XI following a reader's poll by the Cricketer magazine, who organise the competition.
Lavelle, who has led Calmore to consecutive Lord's finals, was nominated as captain, alongside his role as economical left-arm spinner. Left-hander Johns, with 497 runs, was the leading NV Cup batsmen this season, with 450-run Tom Arnold close behind. Bramshaw were Hampshire county village finalists.
