Lymington pair Dan Cox (72) and Ben Attrill (58) played lead roles in the Isle of Wight’s 61-run win over Cornwall in the ECB County Championships at Grampound Road, where the island rocked at 8-3 before the Ventnor-raised pair added 149.
The IWCB made 215-7 before dismissing Cornwall for 154, Cox (left) taking 3-20.
Bournemouth’s Ollie Bracken took 4-26 and Bashley (Rydal) wicketkeeper Patrick Lewis bagged five dismissals as Dorset ripped Wiltshire out for 107 at South Wilts.
Dorset responded with 276 - Wimborne’s Lewis Freak 74, Lewis 40, Josh Royan 36 – before bowling Wiltshire out again for 225 and winning by nine wickets. Dorset Berkshire at Chapel Gate on Wednesday.
