WATERLOOVILLE have signed accomplished South African all-rounder Henk Nel for their upcoming Southern Premier League Division 3 campaign, which begins against Lymington II on May 6.
Nel (23) has captained Piet Retief Cricket Club for the past four years, playing in the strong Mpumalanga Cricket Union’s Premier League.
In 2014/15, he averaged 35.71 and 10.14 with bat and ball respectively. The trend has continued into the current 2015/16 season averaging 39.43 and 7.91. Nel is an explosive cricketer who opens both batting and bowling for PRCC.
He has previously represented Swaziland in two Under-19 World Cup (African Region) tournaments (2009, 10).
