Leg-spinner Jack Myers produced his best Southern Premier Division figures as Burridge suffered a middle-order collapse before falling six runs short of Alton’s 139 all out at the Jubilee Ground.
Myers, pictured, took 6-32, causing the visitors to tumble from 83-2 to 108-8 before being bowled out for 133.
Burridge appeared comfortable while Jamie Richards (39) and Joe Collings-Wells (36) were together, but fell apart as Myers claimed six successive wickets, four of them clean bowled.
Ninth-wicket pair Charles Bolton and Sully White added a precious 23 to take Burridge to within nine runs of victory, but Alton grabbed the last two wickets in the nick of time to bowl their visitors out for 133.
Earlier, White produced a 5-44 return as Alton, guided to 90-3 by Abeed Janmohamed (46), lost wickets regularly. Left-arm spinner Brighton Mugochi took 3-22 in Alton’s 139 all out.
