Compton & Chandlers Ford cracked 25 runs off the last over to beat Basingstoke & North Hants by two wickets in a NatWest Under-16 Indoor League thriller at the Ageas Bowl.
Chasing down 144-4, CCF were facing their first defeat at 100-4, but Jovan Dhariwal (41) and Dylan Read (32) turned the game around.
CCF’s subsequent win over the New Forest – again underpinned by Dhariwal - means they have won all five matches to far in the competition
Left-hand all-rounder Martin Deadman shone for Basingstoke, while Liam Carty (son of Adam) scored runs in both his knocks for the New Forest, whose side was hit by late injury withdrawals.
