Raff Hussey and James Haggaty smashed quick-fire half-centuries as New Milton ran up a formidable 181-6 before beating an inexperience Bashley (Rydal) by 106 runs in the New Forest CA President’s Cup.
Lee Beck (31) set the pattern for the Green & Golds, who prospered greatly through Hussey’s 58 from 35 balls and Haggaty, who hit four sixes in his 29-balls stay at the crease for 60 not out. The pair added 77 in eight overs.
George Watts (3-16), Jake Lilley (2-25) and 17-year old Ollie Wilmore (2-8) bowled Bashley out for 75 to set up a semi-final meeting for New Milton against Hythe & Dibden on Tuesday June 19.
Fawley host Lymington at Holbury on Monday evening for the right to host Sway in the semi-final the following week.
The Presidents Cup final is at Bashley (Rydal) on Friday evening, July 6.
