A reunion of the New Milton side of 1973-75 will take place at Fernhill on Saturday (18th August) to watch the New Milton v Lymington ECB Southern Premier Cricket League Premier Division derby, which starts at 12.30pm.
They are hoping that players such as John Wolfe ( now Hampshire Cricket Board Chairman) alongside Paul Broomfield, Ian Bowie, Billy Paramore, Colin Partridge, Mike Lewis and Steve Moore will be there.
Ex Hampshire & England fast bowler David ‘Butch’ White, Dave Jose, Peter Watts, John Shippey and Dave Billington have all passed on.
New Milton’s Golden era saw the now Green & Golds win the 1973 and 1974 Hampshire Cricket League championship team (they were also runners up in 1975) , with the team winners of the New Forest CCA Sydney Wyatt KO in those three seasons. Milton won the County Ground KO at Northlands Road in 1976.
