It’s four in a row now for Totton & Eling, whose four-wicket win over promoted South Wilts II consolidated their position at the Southern Premier Division 2 summit.
James Taylor (74) led the way as Totton chased down South Wilts’ 217, spin all-rounder Brighton Mugochi taking 6-31 and later making a timely 33 not out.
Suman Ganguly (65) and Sean Burton (5-21) played the key roles as Liphook & Ripsley chalked up 227-9 before bowling run shy Fair Oak out for 96.
Matt Deadman’s 61 proved equally crucial as Basingstoke & North Hants II successfully chased down Hartley Wintney’s 145 (Will Kerr 46) to win by seven wickets, Steve Bucksey scoring 50.
Harry Trussler’s (above) 98 was his highest SPL score so far and ensured St Cross Symondians II would make 253-6 against Langley Manor, who came back with 151.  Former Lymington skipper Simon Beetham made 61 and took 4-15.
Waterlooville still can’t get off the mark, losing by 46 runs to Paultons despite the efforts of Jon Hudson, who took 6-42 before top scoring with 45 in Ville’s 140. Paultons earlier made 186 (Scott Dawes 54), Peter Lamb taking 4-21 with his seamers.
