Old Tauntonians & Romsey have raised £25,000 through Crowdfunding to completely refurbish their 50-year old plus clubhouse at the Romsey Sports Centre, with most of the work undertaken by club members and players.
The money has enabled the club to completely gut the wooden clubhouse and rebuilt it internally, adding and updating it. They are also having the outside of the building re-clad and a new electronic scoreboard added.
Project manager Mike Trodd said: "We received substantial grants from Sport England & Sovereign Thriving Communities, and had great support through local sponsors such as Radcliffes, Rathbones, and Howdens
"None of this it would have been possible with great support from the members who have given up their time to help the rebuild."
OTs & Romsey are hoping the new clubhouse will be open by May 7 when they host Andover in their opening Southern Premier Division 2 match.
