Ollie Southon in full cry
Pace ace Ollie Southon is set to fire up the Burridge attack against unbeaten Southern Premier League Cup visitors St Cross Symondians seconds at Botley Road.
The 20-year old took 34 wickets for Burridge in his debut 2018 season and was fourth highest Premier Division wicket taker - statistics that rewarded him a deal with the Hampshire Academy last summer.
Now too old for academy cricket, Southon is back with Burridge, who will be anxious to bounce back after last weekend's Josh Hill inflicted mauling at Sarisbury Athletic.
St Cross have won both their East group matches so far, but must do without the in-form former Hampshire opener Jason Laney.  Ed Ellis and Simon Beetham drop down.
Burridge: Collings-Wells, Chowdhury, De Abreu, Blake, Hughes, Stancliffe, Paskins, Damley Jones, White, Abbas, Southon.
St Cross Symondians 2nd XI - Neave, Hirst, Ellis, Beetham, Haworth, Hadfield, O’Connor, Orchard, Clarke, Merluk, Holzmann
Portsmouth's new captain James Christian has a fully available squad for the trip to Alton and admits "there have been a few tough selection dilemmas", which have culminated in Jordan Palmer-Goddard findings himself in the seconds (v Havant at St Helens') alongside Henry Woolf, Hemanshu Hirani, Fahad Ahmad, Ishfaque Ahmad, Ethan Randell and the Hungerford brothers.
Fresh from their win over Havant, Alton are boosted by Abhay Gonella's return from a dislocated shoulder, along with that of the Heffernan brothers, Mark and Michael.
But Alex Hammond faces four weeks on the sidelines after fracturing his foot in a fielding accident against Havant.
Teenager medium-pace bowler Ellis Ballinger, son of Julian, makes his debut after taking four wickets in last night's Under-17 Kerry Cup win over Basingstoke & North Hants.
Alton: Harris, Gonella, S Myers, MP Heffernan, Wright, MJ Heffernan, J Myers, Salmon, Bochereau, Ballinger.
Portsmouth: Duggan, T Wallis, Christian, J Marston, Smitherman, D Wallis, Kooner-Evans, Hammond, McArdle, A Marston, Webb
Winless pair Havant and Sparsholt meet at the Park, with Chris Morgan naming an unchanged team.
Havant: Morgan, Harry Gadd, Hopson, Stone, Hindley, Whitfield, Bulled, Freddie Gadd, Jerry, Stares, Taw.
