Hampshire top the log after four straight wins, but Dorset are undefeated too, having chased down 260 to beat Gloucestershire in their last game.
Former Essex batsman Paul Pritchard is in the Dorset line-up, alongside Poole Town legend Dave Porter, who flayed the Hampshire attack all around the BCG two years ago and made a half-century in last season's derby at Dean Park.
A serious knee injury, which requires surgery, has put the miserly New Milton bowler Nick Gargaro on the sidelines for the remainder of the season.
Gargaro, who took 4-8 against Somerset at Privett Park recently, played for England 50s in an international tournament in Sri Lanka earlier this year.
