It’s 20 years since Old Tauntonians and Romsey merged to become OTs & Romsey and to celebrate the club is holding an anniversary fun day at the Romsey Sports Centre on Sunday (August 26) which will include players past and present, alongside a few Hampshire players taking each other on in three matches.
The festivities begin with an Under-9 and Under-11 mixed pairs game at 10am, then at noon there will be a ten-over match between colts and senior players with Twenty20 style themed music.
The main event is at 2.30pm when OTs & Romsey XI play Tulk’s XI, which will include Southern Premier League players and, hopefully, Hampshire duo James Vince and Chris Wood.
There will be plenty of activities besides watching the cricket. There will be a bouncy castle, tombola and a raffle, music throughout the day and a licensed bar, barbecue and a hog roast.
