Parley and Bournemouth raised Gloucestershire left-arm pace bowler David Payne made his One Day International debut for England in the eight-wicket win against the Netherlands in Amstelveen.
He took a tidy 1-38 off nine overs as the Netherlands were dismissed for 244. He took the wicket of Dutch captain and top scorer Scott Edwards (64) caught by Jason Roy. Former St Cross Symondians all-rounder Logan van Beek continues in the Holland side. Jason Roy (101) and Josh Butler (86) blasted England home with 20 overs to spare.
Payne reflected: "It was an incredibly special day, that topped off another awesome experience and trip away with England. Thank you very much for all the messages of support while I was away. To fulfil a boyhood dream of representing my country, and be able to share it with friends and family, that was easily one of the best, and proudest, days of my life.'
Aged 31-year old from Lytchett Minster, Payne has impressed in the T20 Blast, with 17 wickets in seven appearances for Gloucestershire this summer.
He cut his teeth in Dorset junior cricket and was a key member of the side which lifted the coveted ECB Under-15 Club Championship at Chapel Gate in 2006. He later underlined his potential by joining neighbours Bournemouth and taking a combined 46 wickets in the 2008 and 2009 Southern Premier League seasons. His last game for Bournemouth came when they lifted the ECB Cockspur T20 Cup beating Nottinghamshire League side Cuckney in the final at Derby.
