Eddie Abel and Tom Morton scored centuries as South Wilts went on a massive 330-5 run spree in their opening pre-season friendly against Bournemouth at Bemerton.
Abel hit 110 and Morton 102 as the pair plundered a double-century partnership off only 20 overs. Slim-line Abel smacked 86 of his 110 in boundaries - a six and 20 fours - bringing up his century in the 14th over !
Morton's 102 contained 17 fours. Jack Mynott made an unbeaten 49 as South Wilts reached their 330-5 in 45 overs.
Bournemouth were dismissed for 168 (Robbie Pack 36 not out), with teenage spinner Miles Kantolinna taking 3-24.
Lymington scrambled a one-wicket win over Ventnor with four balls to spare at Steephill.
Marc-Antony Eysele hit 72 of Ventnor's 182-5, a total Lymington looked unlikely to better at 96-6 (Cameron Grierson 49) after young Toby Corbin (3-24) and Hugh Calloway (3-28) created inroads.
But skipper Simon Beetham (33), with aid from the lower order, tilted the balance, leaving Ed Freeman's 22 not out to get Lymington across the line.
Calmore Sports, newly promoted to Southern Electric Premier League, Division 1 this summer, began with a nine-run win over South Wilts II at Bemerton.
Teenage left-hander Ben Johns (71) underpinned Calmore’s 220-7, which was based on a positive start by Mark Lavelle (34) and Dave Blake (22). Ben Perry (30) and Paul Proudley (34) added useful runs later.
Proudley and Matt Maiden achieved early breakthroughs before Owen Phillips (50) and Ben Draper (38) added 79 to put South Wilts in the driving seat before the pair fell to the left-arm spin of James Rose, who also removed the dangerous Rob Pittman (22). Fellow spinner Lavelle grabbed a wicket, but a triple breakthrough by Paul Bielby on debut maintained the pressure which led to South Wilts finishing nine runs short.
Cameron Prentice, a winter signing from Hambledon, christened his Havant debut with a 3-24 return in the 13-run win at Chichester Priory Park. Prentice ripped out three of Chichester's top four - the Sussex League club being bowled out for 154 after Havant had posted 167 (Sam Robinson 54).
