PREMIER 2: LEADERS LOOK TO MAINTAIN 20-POINT GAP AT TOP

4/8/2017

Totton & Eling seek to maintain their 20-point lead at the top of Division 2, but host a South Wilts II side battling against relegation.
James Taylor and son Ethan return, but South Wilts are without influential Army all-rounder Stephen Booth.   Left-hand opener Tom Cowley is, however, in the SW team.
Totton & Eling: Mbofana, Bracey, Clouting, Perrin, Geyle, J Taylor, E Taylor, Sharma, Collier, George, Houghton
South Wilts II: Phillips, Cowley, Berzins, R Pittman, Pearce, Hansford, S Pittman, Kidd, Burton, Fisher, Lewis.
Second placed OTs & Romsey host Sparsholt, who have wicket-keeping problems.  Jake Dunford is playing for Jersey against the Netherlands, while stand-in Steve Mitchell split his finger webbing and will sit out the remainder of the season.
Sparsholt: Frith, Haworth, Betley, Banks, Kennett, Skeoch, Whiting, Doubell, Phagami, Weir, Williams.
Third placed St Cross Symondians, frustrated at having last week’s match against Totton & Eling washed out, visit Langley Manor.
St Cross II: Mitchell, Laney, Hawkins, Haworth, Young, Ayers, Foyle, Orchard, Trussler, Perry-Lewis, Aldridge.
Paultons have said their farewells to their Southampton hockey player/coach Rob O’Brien, who has left the area for Newcastle.
They recall hard hitting Andrew Collins and give debut to Rory Saunders to mix up their misfiring batting line up against Trojans at Stoneham lane, where Andrew Denney will captain for the first time.
Paultons: Grierson, Ennew, Collins, Metcalfe, Bills, Feltham, Saunders, Murrell, Pike, Lamb, Denney.
