Totton & Eling host SPL3 champions Waterloovile at Southern Gardens tomorrow, but have pulled out of Sunday's ECB national club championship tie with Basingstoke & North Hants due to lack of numbers.
The Eels were in the promotion frame for much of last season but blew up spectacularly towards the end, conceding the top two places to OTs & Romsey and Hartley Wintney.
As previously reported, Totton have lost the services of star new signing Ben Walker, from Havant, who ruptured his left Achilles tendon playing for Dorset last weekend. He will miss the entire season.
Conor Browne will be looking to take his century-making Village Cup form into Langley Manor’s visit to May’s Bounty, where they clinched the SPL3 title two seasons ago at the expense of a freshly promoted Basingstoke & North Hants II.
Teenage Australia Fraser Wilson will get his first taste of cricket in English conditions when relegated Rowledge go to Paultons. The 18-year old arrived three weeks ago and has yet to pick up a bat.
Rowledge (at Paultons): B Wish, Lloyd, J Wish, Morant, Wilson, S Martin, Plater, Moseley, Randall, Swan, Baker.
Trojans scheduled home match against Sparsholt as been switched to Locks Lane (see separate story), while a short trip away Tichborne Park begin against St Cross Symondians II.
