Bashley (Rydal) seconds have made a perfect two-match winning start in Southern Premier Division 3 and chase a third straight victory when Gosport Borough visit the BCG.
They had hoped their new ball attack would be strengthened by Kevin Nash dropping down from the first team, but the evergreen seamer pulled a fetlock diving in the field last week.
Gosport have yet to complete a match and were soundly on the back foot at 123-8 when last week’s visit to Portsmouth & Southsea was washed out.
Bashley (Rydal) II: Turner, S Morris, Anstee, Underwood, S Ridley, M Wilson, Lewis, Grierson, Taylor, Eede, Saunders.
Fair Oak, who began with a tight win over Hambledon, are without skipper Ed Kemp against promoted Portsmouth & Southsea at St James’s Park.
Rhys Oxley, who takes the captain’s armband, is also without opening bowler Ross Stewart, but Gregor McKenzie who took five wickets against Hambledon will front up the attack.
Fair Oak: Gwynn, Todd, Hockenhull, Smith, Plowman, Bullough, Oxley, McKenzie, R Featherstone, J Featherstone, Mash.
South Wilts II are eager to bounce back from their 92-run home beating by Bashley, but must do without Army all-rounder Stephen Booth at Fawley. Spin all-rounder Rob Franklin comes in. Fawley newcomer Khaj Sharma is injured, so Ali Bryers comes in.
