Fawley are off the bottom of Southern Premier League Division 3 for the first time this summer.
Having given their season a belated kick-start with a four-wicket win over Portsmouth & Southsea, they trimmed a depleted Bashley (Rydal) seconds to leave Lymington II stranded at basement level.
Fawley successfully chased down Bashley’s 172 to win by six wickets at Holbury.
Bashley’s side bore little resemblance to their normal team which is pushing for promotion and Adam Freeman (3-24) and Khajit Sharma (3-42) got to work reducing the visitors to 91-5.
It needed Jan Van Wyk (33) and Neil Taylor (45) to steer them to 172 all out.
Fawley greedily polished off the target for the loss of four wickets with 12 overs to spare, Bailey Parratt hitting an unbeaten 47 after all-rounder Safian Munir (41), who has joined the oilmen from the Chesterfield-based Derbyshire club Cutthorpe, had made his mark.
Fawley’s second win has left Lymington 20 points adrift at the bottom, equally desperate Havant II thrashing them by nine wickets.
Left-armer Alfie Taw (5-14) did the damage as Lymington lost their five wickets for 16 runs, Syed Agha (46) and Ross Whyte (49) having steered them to 175-5 at one stage.
A 116-run opening stand between Andrew Galliers (70) and Andrew Ruston (57) enabled Havant to make deep inroads into Lymington’s 191 before Simon Loat chipped in with 44 not out.
Gosport Borough are only three points better off than Havant II after a Josh McCoy inspired Purbrook beat them by 106 runs at Privet Park.
It didn’t look as though Purbrook would enjoy such an emphatic victory when Tom Larner (3-51) reduced them to 40-4, but McCoy, pictured, struck ten fours and three sixes in an undefeated 118 and shared a 119-run stand with Brad Mengham (45), which saw the visitors to 243-9 (Charlie Creal 3-49).
Gosport promptly lost half their wickets for 42 and were indebted to Greg Kitchen (40) and Larner (38) for their eventual 137 (James Holder 3-9).
