Darren Cowley plundered his maiden ECB Southern Electric Premier League century and followed it up with a five-wicket haul as Lymington opened their Premier Division challenge in style with a 168-run thrashing of St Cross Symondians.
The former Dorset left-hand all-rounder hit 100 and later took five of the last St Cross wickets to fall.
Cowley arrived at the Green Jackets Ground crease with Lymington wobbling at 49-3 after a three-wicket new-ball burst by Harry Foyle (4-73).
But he turned the tide in style, cracking three sixes and 12 fours in his century, which he made during a match changing 111-run fifth wicket partnership with teenager Felix Ambrose (67).
With the lower-order all chipping in, Lymington eased to 304-8 – a total well beyond the remit of the Winchester club.
Australian Ben Ashkenazi (2-28) removed both openers before Ryan Scott (2-22) reduced the hosts to 70-4.
Only Paul Hawkins (33) and Harry Foyle (29) put up much resistance as St Cross slipped to 136 all out, Cowley dismissing both batsmen before running through the tail.
Richard Morris smashed four sixes and ten fours in an undefeated 91 which pointed Bashley (Rydal) to a comfortable seven-wicket win at Burridge, whose 184-8 included 62 from former Hampshire cricketer Derek Kenway. Morris shared an 86-run stand with Josh Digby (51) to cement Bashley’s position.
