Brad Taylor and Felix Organ hit big centuries while sharing a 339-run stand as Hampshire amassed 555-7 declared against Kent in their Second Eleven Championship opener at The Ageas Bowl.
Organ made 163 and captain Taylor 182, the pair hitting 24 and 22 fours respectively and two sixes apiece.
They had been due to play on opposite side’s in today’s ECB Southern Premier League match between the Academy and Basingstoke & North Hants on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground, but Taylor is likely to pull out of the Basingstoke squad after being named in Hampshire’s 15-man squad for the opening Royal London Cup tie against Sussex at Hove.
The Academy name an unchanged side, but Basingstoke replace Max Harsham with Brad Neal.
