PREMIER TRIO CHASE ROYAL LONDON & VILLAGE CUP GLORY

Havant are going to have to pull out all the stops in Surrey today (Sunday) if they are to progress beyond the regional group stages of the ECB Royal London club championship.
They visit Normandy, currently third in the powerful Surrey Championships, in the zone final, the winners of which progress into the last 16.
Havant have enjoyed success at national level in the past, being knocked out by Weybridge last term, but significantly journey to Normandy’s picturesque ground, just off the Hog’s Back near Guildford, without key all-rounder Richard Hindley and with a question mark over the fitness of skipper Ben Walker, who suffered a facial injury at South Wilts yesterday.
Havant: Walker, Ransley, Gorvin, Stone, Gibson, Bulled, Prentice, Morgan, Matthews, Loat, Hopson.
Southern Premier League pair Liphook & Ripsley and Rowledge hope home advantage will be key in tomorrow’s opening Watson’s Village Championship.
Liphook, minus Glastonbury-bound skipper Charles Janczur and opening batsman Rob Nicklin, host 2013 Lord’s finalists Rockhampton, who lie mid-table in the West of England’s Premier League’s Gloucestershire/Wiltshire feeder division.
Liphook: Suman Ganguly, Giles Cover, Ric Williams, Grant Rouse, Harry Munt, Gabe Broadhurst, Rich Covey, Chris Martin, George Neave, Dan Wrenn, Elliot Hawkins.
Rowledge field six players under-21 years of age against Sussex League Division 2 opponents Mayfield, who won the East Sussex group.
Rowledge: R Yates, B Wish, J Wish, Keeley, Randall, M Martin, O Baker, Yates snr, Forbes, Taylor, Marshall.
